Snowman Tea Light Ornament

Cute ornament for the tree.  A small gift to give a friend, co-worker or to tie to a package.  I made mine so the back is open so you can turn the light on & off or replace if needed.  Seen different versions of this but this was the quickest for me.
I made the matching gift box.....Love the idea of seeing him through the lid.  I added some fake snow inside the box and a glue dot to keep him in place.

Chimney box - for Santa

A cute little box that I tried this morning. Thinking of adding some batting to create a smoke effect on top or some peppermint candies.

Rudolph the red nose Reindeer

How cute is this Rudolph !  Great cutting file and was easy to put together the layers.  I added red stickles to make the nose "glow".  Now to try the girl verision - Clarise.  This would be so cute on gift bags, a banner or on a table as place cards.

My Peppermint Patty Treats...

How fun are these !!! I made these to hold a peppermint patty or a Ghiradelli chocolate.  Thinking I could have done a real small candy cane for the snowman.  Twigs for arms and a touch of bling.  Good idea to make multiples...

Santa hat & Stocking

Cute boxes that were not bad to put together.  I added some jingle bells, trims and ribbons.... the pine is from Tim Holtz's new die set.

An old fashioned Christmas ....

I am in Christmas mode in my craft room these days. I pulled out some of Tim Holtz and Sizzix dies to create this card. The holly branch is from the new set out this year.  A great basic for lots of projects for years to come. My inspiration came from the  Bingo card  that  made me think of Christmas from days gone by.  I added some sparkle to the chipboard and the holly berries.  The bottom read strip is box pleated red paper with a strip of glitter down the middle. I have some new dies that have holiday words that I want to try out next.

Poinsetta box card..

This turned out so much nicer than I expected.  This picture doesn't do it justice. I added gold glitter to the middle and tips of the flowers.  I also added a gold center to my flowers to add some dimension.  I have a whole bag of these gold raised dots that I bought on clearance at a craft store years ago.  Nice to be able to use them.

Side shot to show the dimension.  Thinking I need to make a couple of these.

The back - you can add your message here...

Halloween 2014....

I am over the moon about this card. The eyes, mouth and stars are cut out so the ivory you see if from the interior of the card.  There is an added embossed layer on the moon that really added to its dimension.

Witch hat box

How fun was this...I can imagine so many different papers, colors and ways to decorate this. I used some clearance paper that had silver foil on lack for the panels on the top.  Then I added the black lace with rhinestones around the brim  (thinking I bought it on sale during my camping trip at a Hobby Lobby).  I added the black feather ad some gray metallic/glittery flowers and the spider crawling down.  I had bought a bag of the plastic spiders at the dollar store and covered him in glue and glitter - the glitter helped it stand out against the black paper plus it made him look awesome.

This hat is actually a box and the top comes off so you can hide a treat, message or goodies inside.   I think the hat is about 6 1/2" tall x 7 3/4" wide.  I used my silhouette to cut the hat pieces out of cardstock.  I did add a piece of chipboard to the brim of mine to give it a little more weight and stability. Its glued between the layers.

Caawww !!!! Crow card & Pumpkin treat

Love shaped cards.  I added some twine and a paper flower to the headband. A white pen or a paintbrush end to add the white dots that add a nice finishing touch.

This pumpkin holds a lollipop inside.  The stem is the stick of the lollipop.  I added leaves and twine to the top of the embossed pieces that are glued together.  Thinking a great table place setting to add a name tag for Fall, Halloween or Thanksgiving.

Window Cards for the upcoming holidays...

Window cards are a great basic to make for any occasion or theme.  This fall look could be even a Thanksgiving invitation. I used Sizzix Bigz dies and the shutter is from Poppystamps dies.  You can choose to add a Piedemont style top to your window.  There are three choices on one die. the background is embossed brown cardstock. I added in a colored raffia bow and a touch of brown stickles to the tree branches for a little subtle sparkle.  Some of the leaves could be textured and inked.

Here is a pretty 3d look for the holidays (this picture is not capturing how nice this is). I think the touch of curtains to the windows really adds that extra detail.  Snow or glitter could even be added to create more of a winter look.  Think about creating one so that you are  standing inside looking out a landscape outside of the window.  A textured brick wall is also a great idea for a background of a window to sit on. I am off to try a Halloween look ....
Okay so here's the Halloween version.  Thinking about one with ghosts or a skeleton in the window.  The brick wall embossed background would also have looked good with this card.

Camping season is upon us...

Starry skies and smores time.  I made this box shaped like a fire with a marshmallow on a stick.  I plan to stamp a saying on the marshmallow.  Next comes the 3 d camper.  I think I will also try the marshmallow smores box that is graham cracker style box. There is a 3d lantern and thermos too!  Love to gift my camping friends or the guys in our lives with these items.

Box Cards ....

How cute are these ! Its so fun to receive one and see how they pop up to make a great presentation to sit out on your shelf.    I embossed the strawberry's with dots and added baker's twine.  Folds to fit in envelope...

Gazebo for a Wedding.....

I can finally post the picture and share as this was a surprise gift. This adorable box is all made of paper !
The embossed roof...I ordered a whole package of heavy weight white cardstock by Bazzill to make sure I was using all the same white (I also used it for the lining of the box as my paper was not double sided but was white on the opposite side of the patterned paper.)   Some double sided papers are not always pretty on the other side and would show when opening the box. I added a wooden ball to the roof to finish it off.

The green flowered paper is the lid for the bottom box.  You do need to have a nice weight paper to make this feel more substantial.  I made the box walls stronger by adding an inner lining of white panels.  I added the sage green pom pom trim to take away from too much pink.  There are so many different ways to decorate this but I decided not to go over the top and keep it a little more classic.  A nice tea light in the center would be nice for evening.

Easter time....

I had originally made this basket for a summer picnic theme but think its great for any occasion - even Easter.  The top sides lift up.  I paired it with this card and viola - a nice gift set.

Camera -Sneak Peak

Camera box

My girlfriend takes credit for making me add the silver metallic dazzles to the lens and top.  It added so much character to it !  Below on the left is a view with the top off and the right is the mini I am making to fit inside.  I plan to use new October Afternoon paper line to that is all about photography & cameras.  Stay tuned for the finale of the mini...

April Showers Card

Made this cute card as I am thinking of days when I will see green grass again...... I loved the 3d umbrella inside. I inked the edges of the boots and the top layered cloud and added pop dots to make it stand out a little more. The rain drops and boots on the front have some bling which made a finishing touch.  I also added in some free handed grass to make the boots more grounded.

Linen closet - Fold out box mini...

Box Lid. I decided to do this project using a DCWV 4 x 6 paper pad called Linen Closet.  Its all shades of blue and tan.  The outer box was a little larger so I had to use two sheets of paper that coordinated as the 4 x 6 pad was too small (but perfect for the inside).  So, I used a wicker look paper from the Front Desk and a Turquoise colored grid paper from Michaels for the bottom.

The wooden bird cage is from Michaels.  The flowers and leaves are from my flower stash.  I believe the small rhinestone center flower is from AC Moore near the wedding section.  I layered the top to give it dimension.  The circle doily shape was from Michaels and was precut but could easily be done on a silhouette or cricut machine.

 Side view

.
Opening the box lid from left to right - you can see the sides are designed to unfold. The mini is attached to the left side of the box.
The bottom of the box is on the far left and lid of the box is on the far right side where the flower is.  There are pull outs, tags, and flips on the pages.
