Mrs Claus !!!!

How adorable is she ...!  I just finished die cutting and putting her together.  She's even cuter in person.  I used copic markers to color in the face.  Can't wait to combine her with some gingerbread and baking theme dies and stamps.  I may even create a special tag for some cookie tins and use some cardboard to make her stiff thinking she could be an ornament,  or go on an album cover or holiday recipe book....

Christmas Tim Style...

 He's so cute !

Made up some of the new Tim H dies...  All ready for the last few cards.

Playing with some shakers !

I am finishing up some shakers I made for Halloween.  I will post more pics soon but had this one done.  I got some really small round styrofoam jar fillers at the dollar store and they seem to work great to mix in.   I love the deeper thickness foam sheets to make the depth quick and easy to put together.

The Count

"The Count" by Tim Holtz.  He was really fun to put together as he has so much attitude in his facial expression.  My only challenge with some of the colorize dies is finding enough shades of one color of card stock to show off all the layers.  So I've been purchasing shades of grey, whites, blacks and browns lately.  I made the background of the card today and played with inking, spritzing and the brand new stencil for the moon which was really fun.  The metalic sprays add some shimmer.   I have found that I really love one of the oxide ink pads for inking black papers.  Its a grey shade and makes halloween projects look really great.

Gingerbread Joy !

My first card for the season of 2021.

Combined several new dies to create this card.  The JOY is one set of dies and the "O" is the Gingerbread face.

I added some pink to the cheeks using a copic, a white gel pen to the eyes and last some sparkle to her bow. I used a pin prick shape die to cut the white background and another snowflake type die cut in green that framed the gingerbread face perfectly.

Easter Stamping & Watercolor...

Playing with some water color paints as I wanted my bunny  to have some light shading to his face.  Its nice to put on some quiet music and get out just a few supplies to create a card for spring.  I used a Nuvo black shadow ink pad that I got at a retreat and found that I really love it.  Wish there were refills for it but so far haven't found any.

My DIY Bunny

So, I made my version of a dollar tree bunny project.  Total cost was $3 as I already had the ribbon and a glue gun. I hung it an old barn door that I change up whats hanging on it every few months.

I used my new bow maker that was a Christmas gift to me. Funny thing despite all my crafts I never had a bow maker.  It is really handy. This bunny could have been cute with a gingham ribbon but I decided to keep it a neutral look and used plain burlap and some rafia.  I added a burlap flower to the center for the finishing touch.

I made this version of a bunny from the back as I really liked the tail.  I may try a front version as I have an idea for whiskers, nose and maybe a flower near the ears.

Gingerbread - Echo Park

Made a really quick mini album and thought I'd use this paper since I didn't get to it this past Christmas.  I will have it done for next year. Thinking it went so fast that I will either make a second one with leftover papers or try a different style to go with it.  This album used little card stock or decorative paper.

I have great memories of my nieces baking gingerbread at my house years ago.  This would be a great album to gift each one of them for their memories. There are great stickers in this collection.

Flaps and pockets..

Added some recipe cards in..

Plenty of pockets to add in photos or add photos to the back of the 4 x 6 elements.

Toadally fun !

Just a HAPPY fun card..! Great to send someone during covid for a birthday or just miss you.  I used an oval die that had cattails and cut it twice to layer it up.  I kept all the pieces intact and colored them in.

Thought a bug was a final touch !

Could be Valentines, Wedding, etc..

I used a log stamp from another set to incorporate into this card to make it look like he was sitting on a log.
Love the sayings..!

Coloring the stamp images with copics and pop dotting the log, hearts and frog.  I had so much fun coloring and making this set of cards!

Hunting Camp !! For the boys..

Made and album for my husband.  He takes an older album with him to hunting camp every year to look at photos of his friends over the years.. It was time for a new album and new memories !

Jollee's bow sticker added to Paper Loft pull outs that just happened to match from my stash years ago.

Found a cool die cut from a scrapbook shop that I bought on a vacation in Pennyslvania. Went great with the papers..

On Pins and Needles...

Getting to the final stages.  Adding the binding to two edges.  Love my clips.. so much easier than pinning.
First 30" double zipper...

Inside double zipper pockets on each side.

Quilted the fabric and used foam between the layers to give it some body. The fabric was from my trip to Maine.

Stuffed Valentine Pocket and flip album

Easy and quick flip album.  I used just cardstock from 6 x 6 paper pad for the pages and one 12x 12 for the envelope pocket.

Alternating page album

Cover, hinge, flaps, pull outs, pockets - entire base album done in an afternoon.

Seems like one of our first real chilly days and we have snow now.  I decided to take a break from sewing to start a new album.  Its been busy doing contact tracing and I mentally needed some crafty time to ground me again.  I can't believe how fast this is going together which makes it exciting when things can be assembled quickly.
Cover and hinges are done.

Inside pages are attached.  They alternate in direction/height.  Great size for standard photos.  Now its time for the papers and embellishments...
