I just had to try this out... I used gingerbread by King Arthur and topped them off with mini marshmallows (hard to find in this area) and mini chocolate chips. Mini Candy Canes create the handles to make them look like cups of cocoa. I didn't get to try them for Xmas as I ran out of time. So, they are my New Years treat for some friends that are coming over. Happy New Year !

Cranberry Pecan... My niece and I used to make this pie at Thanksgiving time ever year. (The recipe came from a Country Living Magazine.) Well its been a little while since we've done that and I wanted to try my new snowflake mini cookie cutter set. Thinking this would be so pretty for the holidays. The cutters added the perfect touch to the top and was really fun. There are 3 sizes and the spring top helps to push the dough out of the cutter was handy. It also embosses the snowflakes with a pattern. Lovin this tart and sweet pie!

Saw these Pumpkins on Pinterest and thought I would try them out tomorrow for Thanksgiving. Cute, inexpensive, quick & useful later for clean up. A little crafty something to add to the place setting.
It was a great whirlwind of a year and I have a lot to be Thankful for ! Lots of fun and great memories with family and friends. Feeling lucky !

Lost count but think I made like 16... There are two men in the office so it was nice to include them. The box itself is nicely made and would be good to use in oher projects. The back has a slit and the top has a pointy flap that slides into it. I used a copic to shadow the face and the wart on her nose. The nose is pop dotted.

Choosing the decorative paper and glueing the arched areas was the hardest part. The Anna Griffin stripe paper here has black glitter on the black areas. I loved the criss cross patter paper by Martha Stewart for the roof. I embossed the shutters to create a textured look and added a touch of white ink. Next came some Halloween tree's and mini figurines (mad scientist and gravestones). The black xmas tree actually has some purple glitter which is hard to capture. The black twiggy trees are from the dollar store.
The bottom panels of the house are embossed in a brick pattern.
I found orange flickering battery lights for inside that actually glow a redish/orange color - this made it a nice spooky glow in the windows.

Pumpkin Time in Vermont !
Love this time of year and all that it brings. Apple picking, decorating with mums, corn stalks and hay bales. Making a scarecrow for the yard. Drinking pumpkin coffee and baking with pumpkin, zuccini, and smelling cinnamon. Breads, pies and doughnuts with a glass of cider Being surrounded by friends and family and getting cozy. Its been a whirlwind of a year for me -weddings,trips, and good times with friends. Looking forward to a little quiet creative time before my next adventures. Turning 50 has been awesome!
Love this set of stamps..Everything you need is in this one set. Several fall sayings with leaves, pumpkins, and acorn stamps. Couldn't resist some twine and stickles. Used a scalloped frame base style card cut from my silhouette cameo.

What a pretty favor box ! My niece Molly is getting married this June and her bridal shower is next month. Wedding preparations are underway. She has been so organized and enjoying it all while finishing her senior year of college where she is on the Dean's List.
A sneak peek at the banner ! Her colors are navy blue, gray, and a touch of burgundy. She has a little bit of a nautical theme happening. I found this stamp for a dollar and embossed the navy blue ink for a finished look. Thought it made a great center for the ships wheel.
I've been making white, dark and peanut butter chocolates. I am creating mini boats for the chocolates and have the masts all made. I have even done a practice table set up but can't show it here just yet..

There is some real interaction in this mini with flaps and tag pockets. This style will hold a ton of photos. There are sections to this album that are held shut with tags and magnets to help keeps things in place.
I was going to start adding some more decorating details with stickers but felt that adding the photos next would really determine the decorating. Its nice trying a flat style mini and a new product for the binding. All the crafting is keeping me busy these days...new challenges and experiences.
