2015 Christmas Season - off to a great start !

Thanksgiving Tradition...We spend the afternoon of Thanksgiving day making and decorating our Holiday Wreaths.  So full and fragrant...

Tea Light Snowman Ornaments

 

 Still more to go...I have the pieces all cut and will assemble (glueing/glittering) the rest while watching the Hallmark Channel tonight.  Hard to get a good picture so may try again.  Even harder to find the battery operated tea lights right now.

Holly and Ivy

Fun day making some new cards...Loving the shaped edge of this card.  I added large rhinetsones for the berries to make it sparkly for the holidays.  I used a Tim Holtz holiday word die (Merry Christmas) in red and a great santa list tag to pop the large ivy off the background paper.  The holly doodlebug paper was in my stash and was perfect to mimic the design and colors.  My holiday cards are underway !!!!  

A Gatefold Box style card

 I went with a glittery paper for the chipboard reindeer.  I tied the bow to close the card around the deer's neck I added a separate twine bow with a jingle bell. This is the 2014 Tim Holtz reindeer die and the word "noel" and snowflake were other dies new last holiday season.   

 The colors of the paper are a sage green, lt blue, and ivory.

 This was my first try with this style card.  I would not recommend to heavy cardstock as it doesn't lay as flat.  So, I made it work by adding a band instead of ribbon that slides off.

Great to put an ornament or gift tags inside for the receiver.

Getting ready for Christmas.....

 Getting my Christmas cards ready for this year... I added some glitter to the black jingle bells and his shiny nose.  What a fun reindeer card this was to try.  We made several cards today so stayed tuned for other pictures soon.
