Hot Cocoa Cupcakes..

I just had to try this out... I used gingerbread by King Arthur and topped them off with mini marshmallows (hard to find in this area) and mini chocolate chips.  Mini Candy Canes create  the handles to make them look like cups of cocoa.  I didn't get to try them for Xmas as I ran out of time. So, they are my New Years treat for some friends that are coming over.   Happy New Year !

Mouseltoes!

Yes its getting close now and the last few cards of the season are getting mailed out.  These cute mice put a smile on my face the minute I saw them.  I loved the 3d effect of the embossing folder and the die cut sprigs layered on top.

Its pie time ...

Cranberry Pecan... My niece and I used to make this pie at Thanksgiving time ever year.  (The recipe came from a Country Living Magazine.) Well its been a little while since we've done that and I wanted to try my new snowflake mini cookie cutter set.  Thinking this would be so pretty for the holidays.  The cutters added the perfect touch to the top and was really fun.  There are 3 sizes and the spring top  helps to push the dough out of the cutter was handy. It also embosses the snowflakes with a pattern. Lovin this tart and sweet pie!  

Winter Bird...

Pulled out an old stamp and colored.  Added stickles to create some falling snow on the background and the branches.  Then finished off with some red and white twine and a snowflake from my stash.
